On December 22, 2025, the Municipality of Peapack & Gladstone in New Jersey held an official public recognition ceremony honoring César DePaço and the DePaço Foundation, following a municipal proclamation approved on that date acknowledging the donation of a fully equipped police vehicle to the local Police Department.
The document, signed by the Mayor, highlights the ongoing philanthropic support of the well-known Portuguese businessman César DePaço for the security forces in the United States, with particular emphasis on the state of New Jersey.
Although the DePaço Foundation was established quite recently, the proclamation recognizes César DePaço’s personal commitment to strengthening the resources available to law enforcement for more than a decade, a commitment that has been largely realized through his company, Summit Nutritionals Inc.
The Municipal Council also noted that César DePaço is a local resident and has supported the Peapack & Gladstone Police Department over many years through prior donations.
When the need for a new police vehicle—costing nearly one hundred thousand dollars—was identified by local authorities, César DePaço promptly agreed to finance it in full through his foundation, helping enhance the operational capabilities of the police in both the municipality and Somerset County.
During the solemn ceremony on December 22, 2025, the municipality publicly expressed its deep appreciation and gratitude for the contribution, emphasizing the positive impact of the donation on community safety and on strengthening cooperation between civil society and the security forces.
