The history of the César DePaço family began in the township of Madalena, a small municipality located in Pico, an island belonging to the Azores Archipelago in Portugal.
It was among the Azorean islands that César DePaço spent his childhood years. He grew up and studied there until his parents divorced.
César DePaço's father, then Head of the Azores Tax Office, decided to leave the Azores and emigrate with his son, searching for new opportunities and a brighter future.
The chosen destination was the United States of America, and it was there that César DePaço spent his teenage years.
As a young adult, the aspiring Portuguese entrepreneur headed to the United Kingdom in order to start his academic career. César DePaço graduated in Psychology in England.
Living very close to the European continent - with a direct connection by road between the UK and France - César DePaço decided that the time had come to travel and see the world. Young and curious, the future businessman took the car that his father had offered him and set off to explore the unknown, looking for new experiences and adventures.
Whenever he needed to, César DePaço worked for the families that welcomed him. Whatever money he had left, he used to tour new cities, pay for his food, and, most importantly, the gas he needed to continue his journey.
César DePaço traveled all around, driving hundreds and hundreds of miles, experiencing dozens of lifestyles and cultures very different from his own.
After some time in Cyprus, it is on this Mediterranean island that César DePaço then decides to go further. He sold the precious car that had brought him this far and bought a one-way ticket to Australia.
César DePaço spent four years in Australia. In Perth, the Australian city considered to be the western capital of the island continent, he made living selling encyclopedias. He was incredibly successful, particularly due to his language skills. In addition to English, César DePaço could speak native Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, and even German.
The money he gathered over those years allowed him to travel again: this time to Thailand, where he spent a period teaching psychology.
During all these years of adventures, César DePaço always knew that he would eventually return to his family and the place he had left so many years before. In the end, the person who convinced him to return to the United States was his grandfather, a person he had always deeply admired.
It was the mid-1990s and César DePaço's life was about to change completely, with a career move that would lead him to create and manage a multinational company: Summit Nutritionals International®.
Upon returning to the other side of the Atlantic, the César DePaço family flourished. Today, the business owner lives in the state of New Jersey with his wife, Deanna Padovani-DePaço, and their two daughters, Valentina and Vittoresa.
Deanna Padovani-DePaço is not only his life partner but also his business partner. She plays a key role but in the everyday life of Summit Nutritionals International®, being the current Chairwoman of the company founded by her husband in the early 2000s.
Now married for over a decade, their lives are split between New Jersey, Florida, and Miami. Whenever time and his busy agenda allow, César DePaço takes the opportunity to visit Portugal, traveling throughout the country and its islands.
A vital part of the César DePaço family is his family dogs, or as the businessman affectionately calls them: the canine clan. There are five of them: Cocola, Benita, the sisters Fagiola and Bia, and even K-9 Lanzer.

César DePaço is well-known for his passion for canines, as well as the support and charitable actions he carries out in this context, such as the donation of K9 agents.
The Droi-Kon® brand itself is a fruit of this passion: a registered brand by Summit Nutritionals International® that produces and sells health supplements.
Alongside his passion for dogs, humanitarian activities, and philanthropy, César DePaço has two other interests: cars and bullfighting.
One of his favorite hobbies is collecting cars. His own private collection includes world-renowned brands such as Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Rolls-Royce.
The Portuguese executive is also very fond of the Portuguese traditions that link him to his homeland. César DePaço has a special appreciation for a well-known bullfighting tradition that originated from the Azores: bullfighting on a rope.
Acknowledged for their humanitarian and philanthropic actions, the César DePaço family feels that their life is most complete when they give back to society.
As an example, the family offered their support during the severe fire of Pedrogão Grande that devastated part of Portugal. They also gave an amazing Christmas present to Obra Social Madre Maria Clara, a Portuguese institution that aids children in need.
Similarly, César DePaço and his family are recognized for their constant support to many local Police Departments and Precincts, to which they donate funds and dogs to integrate their K9 units.
