Peapack & Gladstone Police Department Acknowledges the DePaço Foundation
On August 8, 2025, the DePaço Foundation—recently established by Portuguese businessman and philanthropist César DePaço, and headquartered in the U.S. state of New Jersey—has issued its very first donation.
The recipient was the Peapack & Gladstone Police Department, in keeping with the Foundation’s mission to support law enforcement agencies.
This very generous donation of $100,000 is designated for the acquisition of a fully equipped new patrol vehicle, as revealed by the Peapack & Gladstone Police Department in a letter of thanks addressed to César DePaço, to which our publication had access.

The letter, signed by Chief Stephen C. Ferrante, states: “With this addition, our fleet will include seven patrol vehicles. Due to population growth expected from ongoing and planned construction projects, this new vehicle will become essential for meeting the needs of our community.”
Chief Ferrante further added: “Your unprecedented support enables us to enhance the security and efficiency of our operations. This support benefits the entire community we serve directly. Thanks to your generosity, we can equip this vehicle with cutting-edge technology, allowing us to continue carrying out our mission of maintaining public safety at the highest level of professionalism.”
He concluded: “I have no adequate words to express my gratitude for your unwavering commitment to our institution. Your support is a true testament to the value you attach to law enforcement.
We are deeply thankful to you and the DePaço Foundation for your support, and it is an honor for us to collaborate with you in serving the community.”
In addition to the multi-million-dollar contributions César DePaço has provided over the years, this $100,000 donation heralds the formal launch of the DePaço Foundation’s philanthropic activities.
