While Officer Chris becomes a beloved figure in the School Sommunity
Far Hills Country Day School is deeply grateful to announce that Deanna Padovani-DePaço and Caesar DePaço have once again generously funded a full-time Special Law Enforcement Officer (SLEO III) for the 2025–26 school year. Their ongoing commitment ensures that Officer Chris, who joined the Far Hills community last year, will continue to provide safety, warmth, and connection to students, faculty, and staff each day.
Since his arrival, Officer Chris has become an integral and cherished part of campus life. Beyond ensuring safety and security, he has built meaningful relationships with students across all grade levels—joining younger children for coloring sessions, greeting families each morning, and supporting older students at community events. His steady, reassuring presence has helped foster an environment where students feel both protected and cared for.
"Officer Chris has truly become a part of our Far Hills family," said Georgia S. Zaiser, Head of School.
"He brings not only a sense of safety but also kindness, humor, and heart. The students adore him, and his presence has enriched our school community in countless ways. We are profoundly thankful to the DePaço family for making this possible once again."
For the DePaço family, this ongoing support reflects their broader commitment to the importance of safety and human connection in education. "We are honored to continue supporting Far Hills Country Day School," said César DePaço. “It's heartwarming to see how Officer Chris has become such a positive figure for students. Safety is essential, but so is the warmth and trust that help children thrive."
Through their continued generosity, the DePaço family has not only ensured a secure learning environment but also strengthened the bonds that make Far Hills a special place. Their philanthropy extends beyond the school to broader community initiatives, including funding local K-9 units and police programs across New Jersey, other states throughout the country, and in Europe.
At Far Hills, safety is inseparable from community—and thanks to this partnership, both continue to flourish.
